Shaper
I started surfing in 1976 in Daytona Beach, FL on a cut-off longboard and I was hooked. Working on surfboards started in 1980 doing board repairs. This is when I started surfing contests, winning the Regional ESA & NSSA, and 1982 NSSA Florida State Champion.

In 1984 I turned Pro and went out to win and place in contests through the years.
By 1986, Clubber Surfboards was started and I was sanding surfboards and
shaping some with the help of business partner Chuck Hundley who passed
away in 1999. In 1996, Clever Surfboards was started with the help of Ron Laudermilk. I have traveled and surfed around the world. Shaping and Surfing
is my passion.

Live well, laugh often, surf always!

Shape Room
Creating the shape starts with measurement to figure which template to use. Custom boards are our speciality.

Airbrush
Clever Surfboards have professional artists capable of doing anything. Custom orders are our speciality. We can create the most up to date designs using the best paint.

Glassing
The lamination is very important process of building top of the line surfboards. Our lamination experience is in thousand of boards. Expert craftsmanship is what you are getting. We use the best material available. We want to make sure your board lasts! Resin tints and opaques are available.

Sanding
This is the last phase. The sander makes sure there is an edge where they're supposed to be, and uses the right sandpaper to keep the surface smooth.
